Raid 2 Release Date locked, Ajay Devgn started the shooting of the movie. The first part of the movie Raid drew inspiration from an actual income-tax raid carried out by IT department officers on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s. Notably, this raid set itself apart as the lengthiest in Indian history, spanning three days and two nights.

It has come to know that the movie Raid 2 has started its shooting. Ajay Devgn is going to return as IRS Officer in Raid 2.
Raid 2 Release Date
Raid 2 is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who has also directed the first installment. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under their banners T-Series and Panorama Studios, respectively.
On Saturday, i.e. 6th January 2024, the T-Series announced the release date of Raid 2 by taking it to the social media platform. The caption reads, “The wait is over! Ajay Devgn is back as IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in #Raid2, ready to bring another true case to the big screen on 15th November 2024.”
Raid 2 Shooting starts
As per information provided by the creators, filming for the movie kicked off in Mumbai on Saturday i.e. 6th January 2024. The production will extensively capture scenes in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The second part is anticipated to deliver “more intensity with double the drama and suspense.” It aims to celebrate the “unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department” and narrate a true case documented in their records.
To attend the Mahurat event, Director Harish Shankar and actor Ravi Teja traveled from Hyderabad to Mumbai. Ravi Teja had the honor of giving the mahurat clap for Raid 2. Currently collaborating on the official Telugu adaptation of Raid titled Mr. Bachchan, both Harish and Ravi were in attendance. The event also saw the presence of producers Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak, along with co-producers Shiv Chanana, Sanjeev Joshi, and Aditya Chowksey.
Raid 2 Cast
Raid 2 stars Ajay Devgn in the main role of IRS Officer Amay Patnaik. The rest of the star cast’s details are not disclosed clearly. In Raid, it has also starred Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz. In the movie, Saurabh Shukla portrayed a corrupt Member of Parliament who cunningly concealed his illicit funds in discreet locations such as the ceiling, walls, and a specially constructed pillar. Ileana assumed the role of Ajay’s wife in the film. The song “Sanu Ek Pal Chain” by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from the movie gained significant popularity.
