Raheem Sterling is now the only player in history to feature for four different clubs in the Champions League. The veteran winger came off the bench in Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Atalanta to set the incredible record.
On deadline day this summer, the player moved from Chelsea to join Arsenal on a loan deal. He has only made one other appearance, which was also from the bench, in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old first featured in Europe’s top flight for Liverpool nearly a decade ago, before moving to Manchester City. He reached the finals of the competition with them, but was unable to win against Chelsea in Porto.
By the time the Sky Blues won the trophy, Sterling was already a Chelsea player, and so, he doesn’t have a winner’s medal to his name. But now, he holds a unique record, which few others might be able to break in the near future.
It remains to be seen what kind of a role Mikel Arteta has in mind for Raheem Sterling, given the winger was at his best while working under the Spaniard at City.
