Brazilian midfielder Rafael Crivellaro signed for Chennaiyin in 2019 and has played 27 matches in ISL scoring 8 goals till now. Crivellaro joined Chennaiyin as their foreign player on 3rd September 2019. He was an integral part of the team and was appointed as captain of Chennaiyin FC in November 2020 ahead of the ISL 2021-22 season.

Unfortunately, he was later ruled out for the rest of the ISL 2021-22 season due to an ankle injury. Chennaiyin FC further extended their deal for multiple years and announced the contract extension on 16th July 2021.

However, the duo has now parted ways. As per Indian sports journalist Marcus Mergulhao, “Chennaiyin FC and Rafael Crivellaro have parted ways but the Brazilian midfielder will continue in ISL, possibly making this season’s debut this month itself.”
