Radu Dragusin is all set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days, after completing his medical test in London. The player chose to sign for the Premier League club in spite of interest from Bayern and the higher bid offered by the Bavarians upfront. He had already agreed personal terms with Spurs for the last week, and has now gone through with the move.
Napoli were also keeping tabs on his transfer status, but were out of the race early on. Now, Dragusin will try out a brand new experience and will provide some much needed defensive cover for Ange Postecoglou’s side during the second half of the season.
Radu Dragusin chooses Tottenham Hotspur over Bayern Munich
Genoa have been offered a €30 million package by Tottenham, which consists of €25 million upfront and the remainder available in the form of add-ons. The player has agreed to a contract until June 2029, and will become a key figure in central defense over the coming season.
The move comes early considering Genoa had signed him this past summer only for €5 million. And now, they have made a return worth over five times what they paid for him.
The arrival of Radu Dragusin means that Eric Dier could move on to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window. The Bavarians are in need of a new central defender and were linked with Dier in the past week. And now that Spurs have signed a new player in that position, the long-time Spurs player could be moved on if the right offer arrives.
