The Colombian only featured for one club in his home country while still an up-and-coming player, in Lanceros Boyaca. And now, after a lengthy spell in Europe, he will be returning to his home country for what could be the final spell of his career.
Falcao could play against his boyhood club, River Plate, on July 9, if he is registered in time. The veteran remains Colombia’s top scorer of all-time, with 36 goals in 105 international games.
The striker won the 2011 and 2012 Europa League titles with Porto and Atletico Madrid, while also winning the UEFA Super Cup with the Rojiblancos. He was also a part of the prolific Monaco team that won the 2016/17 Ligue 1 title, ending PSG’s incredible run after their Qatar takeover.
Is Falcao still playing for Colombia?
No, he last played in the March 2023 friendly against Japan
