Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has officially revealed a new release date for his eagerly awaited film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Originally set for December 6, the film will now premiere on December 5, 2024, following delays linked to production schedules.
The latest poster showcases Allu Arjun in his iconic Pushpa Raj look. He wears a glossy blue shirt, grips a gun, and holds a smoking pipe between his lips, all against a backdrop stacked with piles of cash. This powerful visual amplifies his larger-than-life image, fueling fans’ excitement for the film’s release.
Pushpa 2 New Release Update: Allu Arjun’s Blockbuster Set to Hit Theaters a Day Earlier
On Thursday, October 24, the creators of Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun, revealed an updated release date. This film stands as the year’s most highly anticipated sequel.
At a recent press conference in Hyderabad, producer Naveen Yerneni addressed the delay in Pushpa 2: The Rule‘s release. Initially planned for August, the release was pushed to December. “After moving from August 15, we explored various dates. With films like The Lion King on the schedule, we aimed for a release date that would ensure the maximum number of screens, and December 5 fit best,” Yerneni shared.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is set to build on the intense, high-stakes drama of Pushpa: The Rise (2021). The film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, alongside an impressive supporting cast that includes Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. The film’s technical team features cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, editor Naveen Nooli, and composer Devi Sri Prasad.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, this high-budget action drama ranks among the most expensive Telugu films, with an estimated budget of around Rs 500 crore. Fans are eagerly waiting for three years for the most anticipating movie Pushpa: The Rule, and also waiting for Allu Arjun’s return as the bold and rebellious Pushpa Raj.
The December 5 release date also allows Pushpa 2 to sidestep a direct box-office clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava, set to premiere on December 6.
