## Why Sundar C Chose Purushan Over Thalaivar 173

Industry insiders know that Sundar C was initially attached to direct Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 173. However, due to prior commitments and scheduling conflicts, he graciously stepped aside. Director Cibi Chakravarthy (Don fame) later took over the Superstar project, which is now co-produced by Kamal Haasan.

Rather than dwelling on missed opportunities, Sundar C pivoted to reunite with his trusted collaborator Vishal. This marks their fourth film together after Madha Gaja Raja, Aambala, and Action—all known for their commercial entertainment value.
