pTron Bassbuds Ultima is the first Made in India Active Noise Cancelling Earbuds with Quad Mic made by pTron and will be available at a special launch price during the Amazon Prime Day Sale. Design and Built
The pTron Bassbuds Ultima has a similar design to the Nothing Ear (1) with a similar kind of extended earpiece part, which means the lower part that remains outside the ear. The TWS earbuds have a unique in-ear design with an angular silicon ear-tip, which is oval in shape that fits perfectly in the ears. This oval design is a new trend and the reason behind it is that our ear canal is somewhat oval in shape, so this oval earpiece design fits perfectly and creates an airtight design. There is a specific area on the earbuds for touch control.
The charging case of the pTron Bassbuds Ultima has the branding at the top and there is a USB Type-C port at the back of the case.
There is also a digital power indicator. When the lid is opened there is an LCD that displays the battery level and the charging status of both the earbuds separately and blinks.
Audio Quality
The audio quality of the pTron Bassbuds Ultima is amazing, especially the highs (audio) are up to the mark. Similar to the pTron Bassbuds Vista when the volume of the Ultima is kept at 100% the sound has a soothing effect but might not be needed every time. The 10mm Dynamic Speakers with High Bass exquisite sound details with proper Bass. The bass is very prominent and overall the quality is up to the mark for this price range. There seems to have been no issue while playing games with these headphones due to the low latency.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
pTron Bassbuds Ultima has ANC or active noise cancellation feature that works pretty well for this earbud where the price point is a factor. This can be said as the cheapest ANC earbuds in India. It has three modes where the ANC mode when turned on gives proper noise-free audio within the ears. In the normal mode, we can hear the sounds like a normal earbud, but in the transparency mode, the outer mic of the earbud captures the outer sound and plays it in real-time. This transparency mode is the only mode that feels unreal to me. Overall, the ANC of this earbud works very well and in this mode, almost 80-90% of the outside sounds are blocked and gives a clear and crisp sound.

Steps to pair the pTron Bassbuds Ultima with any iOS and Android devices.
- Open the lid of the case and take out the earbuds.
- Then turn on the Bluetooth of your smartphone/ iPad/ laptop.
- Search for any wireless device.
- Then the newly found device section you can see the name pTron TWS.
- Click on the name and then it will ask to pair with the TWS earbuds.
- Accept the prompt and pair with it.
Comfort and Usage
Each earbud of ptron Bassbuds Ultima is very lightweight and after fitting in ears it will feel like nothing is in the ears. From the design, it seems to have a physical noise cancellation design that will not allow any surrounding sound while plugged in the ears to enter ears but it doesn’t work so well even at full volume. Otherwise, it fits comfortably in the ears and feels great, moreover, it does not falls from the ears once fitted properly.
All conditions proof IPX4 sweat and water-resistant earbuds can be worn while workout, while the silicon tip is adjustable with two other spare ear tips of different sizes. Along with this, the touch controls make it more user-friendly and accessible with any one hand.
I would like to focus on the microphone of this earbud which is quite impressive but one thing I noticed after outdoor usage is that it faces a problem to receive the voice properly in a crowded place with a mask on. In such a situation, you need to talk loudly so that the microphone can receive your sound properly.
Our Thought
After using it for a week I am totally impressed with the audio quality, design and build of this earbud. The whole case of the TWS is very small and can be easily carried anywhere. There is no fear of falling from the ears but would recommend you all to handle it properly as it has a high tendency of falling while handling as it is so lightweight.
Considering the price of Rs.1,699 you can definitely go for the pTron Bassbuds Ultima TWS earbuds. I am strongly recommending this gadget as it is one of the best within this price range and might also be the only one.
