PSV Eindhoven have won the Eredivisie 23/24 title, dethroning Feyenoord to claim the Shield for the first time in six years. Their 4-2 win over Sparta Rotterdam confirmed them as the new champions of the Netherlands, with the former winners nine points behind.

Peter Bosz’s side have been crowned the winners of the league title for the 25th time in their history. The team had an incredible start to the season, staying unbeaten for the first 17 games of the season. They also picked up crucial wins over the course of the campaign, such as the 5-2 thrashing of Ajax and 2-1 win over former champions Feyenoord to help them gain a significant advantage in the title race.

Luuk De Jong’s form has been vital to the team’s success this season, with the former Barcelona striker scoring 27 goals as the joint top scorer in the league. After finishing second for three consecutive seasons and watching rivals Ajax and Feyenoord won the league, this year finally marks the end of coming short in second place for the team.

They have also had a good run in the Champions League, finishing second in their group behind Arsenal before eventually losing to Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.
