“Nuno Mendes arrived late, on the last day of the summer transfer window, he has great potential and was followed for a long time by the club. He shows great mental maturity, at only 19 years old, great physical strength and impermeability to stress in competition.he first pointed out before continuing,” Mauricio Pochettino said about the youngster.

“He still has a lot to give, he can improve in a lot of areas, we only saw a small percentage of what he is capable of achieving. Moving from Portugal to France also involves a process of adaptation. He is destined to become one of the best full-backs in the world if he continues his momentum.”

The 19-year-old is part of a star-studded backline, which consists of Marquinhos, Kimpembe and Achraf Hakimi. There is still a lot of room to grow for the teenager, but he is showing glimpses of what he can become already.
