Kylian Mbappe could be set for late transfer drama since the player has refused to negotiate new deals with PSG time and time again, and the Qatari-owned club seemed to have accepted defeat now.
Real Madrid are the favourites to be Mbappe’s next destination, since the player has mentioned his desire to feature for Los Blancos time and time again. However, his contract with PSG and their high demands have been barriers for the move.
Mbappe will be out of contract next year, which means that Madrid will have their man sooner or later. If they don’t pay up this year, their patience could be rewarded in the form of the recruitment of one of the best young strikers in the world for a free transfer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG are reportedly willing to start negotiations with Madrid for the sale of the player in hopes of making some money from his sale. Real Madrid have not invested in any players over the last three transfer windows and could finally have their long-term target if they can match the French club’s evaluation.
The Parisians have further identified Everton and Brazil forward Richarlison as the replacement for Mbappe, on the suggestion of Neymar. The Merseyside forward could be recruited in the final days of the transfer window if Madrid negotiate a deal for Mbappe within the next week.
If not, it could be until next year that we see the Olympics star make the move to the capital club in France.
