PSG defeat Saudi All Stars in exciting friendly
The Portugal international scored again in the second half, coming up with another equaliser from open play. Marquinhos had scored right before half time to restore the lead for the French side before Ronaldo turned up again.
Goals from Sergio Ramos and Jang Hyun-Soo made it 3-3, ten minutes before the hour mark before Kylian Mbappe converted a penalty to make it 4-3. Hugo Ekitike then scored to make it 5-3 for PSG, while Anderson Talisca’s late goal was not enough to see the two teams play out a draw.
Ronaldo, Messi and Mbappe were all substituted around the hour mark, and the 38-year-old was awarded the man of the match award for his brace in his first game in Saudi Arabia.
In spite of being a friendly game, the allure to see two of the greatest players of all-time battle one another made it seem like more than a friendly at times. And the number of goals scored only added to the thrill of the contest.
