The last two weeks of Premier League action have been nothing short of crazy. And Gameweek 16 provided the fans with another bunch of headlines and shocking moments to go over. Most prominently, Aston Villa cemented themselves as title contenders with a 1-0 win against Arsenal, only days after they defeated Manchester City by the same scoreline. Unai Emery became the first manager in the history of Villa to earn 15 straight home league wins, and has guided his side to third place in the Premier League.

Villa’s win is rivalled in shock factor only by Manchester United, who were defeated 3-0 by Bournemouth at Old Trafford as the Cherries picked up their first-ever win at the historic stadium. The loss came only days after the Red Devils claimed all three Premier League Awards for November

On the other hand, Everton continued their resurgence with a 2-0 win against Chelsea, having defeated Newcastle United 3-0 last week.

Spurs went back to their winning ways as they smashed Newcastle United 4-1, piling even more misery on them after their 3-0 loss to Everton last week. Ange Postecoglou eased the pressure on him with the win against the Magpies, having lost four of their last five games.

Manchester City were without Erling Haaland for their trip against Luton Town, with the striker reportedly nursing a foot injury. Pep Guardiola’s side didn’t have it easy, as they had to come back from 1-0 down for their first win in four weeks.
