On the other hand, Manchester City have maintained their stronghold over domestic competitions by spending the highest amount of money in the game.

Tottenham have slowly started spending more in the transfer market, over the last couple of years. But, they have no silverware to show for their business.

Arsenal are slowly starting to redeem themselves, having spent the most amount of money this season. They are currently third in the Premier League table, and are mounting a challenge for a return to Champions League spots.

Manchester United have failed to win a trophy since 2017, despite spending one of the highest amounts of money in the division. On the other hand, Chelsea won the Champions League by also spending the most in 2020.
