Most films peak on opening weekend. *Premada Oorali* did the opposite. It started small, kept growing for weeks and is now one of the biggest Kannada success stories in years.

### Still Going Strong on Day 36

The Kannada film collected an estimated **Rs 75 lakh** on its 6th Friday, a good hold at this stage. Its running total stands at **Rs 117.05 crore gross** in India. The film is in its final legs, but the numbers are still respectable.

### Premada Oorali: Box Office Journey

| Period | Collection |
| --- | --- |
| **Week 1** | Rs 6.25 crore |
| **Week 2** | Rs 27.75 crore |
| **Week 3** | Rs 39.00 crore |
| **Week 4** | Rs 28.25 crore |
| **Week 5** | About Rs 15 crore |
| **6th Friday** | Rs 0.75 crore (est.) |
| **Total** | **Rs 117.05 crore** |

### A Rare Growth Story

Look at the first three rows. Week 1 was just Rs 6.25 crore, then Week 2 jumped to Rs 27.75 crore and Week 3 peaked at Rs 39 crore. That kind of climb comes almost entirely from word of mouth, with audiences telling friends and family to go. It’s the sign of a film people genuinely loved, not one carried by hype.

### What’s Next?

Trade estimates expect the film to add **Rs 2.50 to 3.50 crore** over its 6th weekend, taking it to around **Rs 120 crore**. Its fate depends partly on *Ramayana*, which arrives in cinemas soon. If *Premada Oorali* keeps some traction after that release, it could finish **above Rs 125 crore**. These are trade projections, so the final number may vary.

That total would put it among the biggest grossers in Kannada cinema, alongside *KGF Chapter 2*, *Kantara* and *Kantara Chapter 1*.

### Why It Matters?

The success surprised the industry. Kannada cinema had recently faced a major setback with *Toxic*, so a word-of-mouth winner at this scale comes as a welcome change. It’s also a reminder that audiences still reward a story that connects, whatever the budget or star power.
