Few predicted this one. *Premada Oorali*, a regular romantic comedy-drama, started quietly and then exploded. Now in its fourth weekend, it’s still climbing past Rs 100 crore. Here’s the story.

## Premada Oorali : Box Office

| Period | Gross collection (India) |
| --- | --- |
| **Week 1** | Rs 6.25 crore |
| **Week 2** | Rs 27.75 crore |
| **Week 3** | Rs 39 crore |
| **Week 4** | Rs 28.25 crore |
| **Day 29** | Rs 2 crore |
| **Day 30 (est.)** | Rs 3.50 crore |
| **Total (23 days listed)** | About Rs 106.75 crore |
| **Expected final** | Rs 115-120 crore |

## A 75% Saturday Jump

On its fourth Saturday, the film collected about Rs 3.50 crore, a 75 per cent rise over Friday. Later reports show the momentum continuing, with the film at roughly Rs 110 crore after its fifth weekend and Rs 113 crore on the fifth Monday.

## The Growth Story

The film’s first week was modest, but its second week more than quadrupled, and the third week reached Rs 39 crore. That is textbook word-of-mouth growth. Its weekly collections only began easing in week four, and even then it held a strong Rs 28.25 crore.

## Why This Matters for Sandalwood?

The success came as a big surprise for the Kannada industry, which recently suffered a financial setback with *Toxic*. Pinkvilla places *Premada Oorali* alongside sleeper hits like *Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayaate* and *Hanuman Ansh*, which also started slowly before taking off.

The difference is genre. Those two have devotional themes, while this one is an everyday romantic comedy drama. That suggests audiences are open to simple, well-told love stories, not only big-budget spectacles.

## Conclusion

This is the kind of run that reminds us how powerful audience recommendations can be. With no major hype at the start, the film built its numbers one conversation at a time. If it keeps its pace, a Rs 120 crore finish is entirely possible, and it will likely be remembered as one of the year’s best underdog stories.
