PowerColor is gearing up to introduce its next lineup of GPUs, codenamed Reaper, which is expected to launch alongside AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 8000 “RDNA 4” GPUs. That will make PowerColor’s listings for GPU series grow, as right now it has six individual GPU series. Although PowerColor has yet to make an official announcement of the Reaper launching, sources implied that it would become a fundamental feature of its lineup alongside the popular Red Devil, Hellhound, Red Dragon, and Fighter families.

PowerColor Set to Introduce ‘Reaper’ GPU Series with AMD Radeon RX 8000 RDNA 4 GPUs Launch

The Reaper family is expected to debut along with AMD’s RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 8000 series GPUs, but it isn’t yet known if this brand will also cover the current RX 7000 family. Currently, it seems only the RX 8000 series will carry the Reaper name. PowerColor’s existing lineup consists of several well-established series, including Liquid Devil, Red Devil, Hellhound, Fighter, Red Dragon, and the reference designs. These series cater to a range of market segments, including high-end Liquid Devil and Red Devil versions, which feature not only premium cooling solutions but also higher clock speeds and more affordable Fighter and Reference designs.

The all-new Reaper series will likely position itself on the high-end tier of PowerColor’s GPU portfolio, but more information about the graphics cards, such as their cooling solutions and performance segments, is hard to come by. The RX 8000 Series that will, per recent speculation, feature show-off with dubious Generational Performance advantages will not only include one 7900 XT but also a number of RX 8000 variants based on the Navi 44 and Navi 48 GPU dies that we have seen in 8000 cards from PowerColor.

AMD’s RDNA 4 lineup isn’t officially unveiled until CES 2025, so the PowerColor Reaper series will probably arrive around the same time. This is a major leap for PowerColor, as they’re increasing their portfolio rapidly and are right at the edge of the latest graphics technology from AMD.
