PowerColor makes its custom Radeon RX 6600 XT GPUs available in New Zealand and insane prices

It’s a fact that AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card is currently in shortage and the prices of the GPUs from AMD are not showing many signs of coming down. However, now PowerColor has announced or more like accidentally revealed that it’s preparing three RX 6600 XT graphics cards, and all the cards will feature 8GB GDDR6 memory.

It was two weeks ago that PowerColor ‘accidentally’ listed the RX 6600XT graphics card category on their website. However, during that time, not even a single SKU was listed. And we didn’t have any confirmation as to which series of the cards will be offered.

But, now the mystery has been solved and it appears that PowerColor will have three models ready, which include the Fighter, Hellhound, and Red Devil. All the cards will have 8GB GDDR6 memory, and the information has been confirmed by the product code listed by the New Zealand retailers.

The retailer has also mentioned that two of these cards will be factory overclocked, but, as of now, there are no clocks that have been listed by the retailer.

  • POWERCOLOR Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB Fighter
    AXRX 6600XT 8GBD6-3DH
    1248.99 NZD (868.63 with 15% VAT)
  • POWERCOLOR Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB Hellhound
    AXRX 6600XT 8GBD6-3DHL/OC
    1248.99 NZD (868.63 with 15% VAT)
  • POWERCOLOR Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB Red Devil
    AXRX 6600XT 8GBD6-3DHE/OC
    1248.99 NZD (868.63 with 15% VAT)

The prices of the care are also ridiculous, I mean come on, with a price of 1249 New Zealand dollars, is equivalent to around 867 USD. The fact worth mentioning is that, even though the GPUs have extremely high pricing in the country, this price is still high regardless. This clearly shows that the news of RX 6600 XT being low on supply and high in demand is indeed true.

As we know, AMD is expected to launch its Radeon RX 6600 XT on August 11th and there will not be any reference model this time around, and the card will only be available through board partners such as PowerColor.
