This is to inform you that the game has been delayed and will be released sometime soon. However, there’s more to it, and that’s exactly what we will discuss here in this article. So if you want to know more about the Portal Revolution, then please give this article a read.

Portal Revolution Got Delayed

As you already know, Portal 2 is a puzzle game first released almost 13 years ago. It was a sequel to Portal, the original game unveiled in 2007. The gameplay of the original game involves solving puzzles by placing portals and teleporting between them.

The gaming environment was of futuristic robots where there were metallic robots everywhere. In the second part, Portal 2, some new features were added like lasers, tractor beams, paint–like gels, and light bridges.

The gaming modes include single-player as well as multiplayer modes. As a player, you can control the character of Chell. There are various new characters too.

After so many years, fans of Portal Revolution were excited to have a new mod on January 5. However, when turned to their Valve account, they found a message saying,

“Right off the bat, I want to say that the game is done. We could ship at any moment, but Valve has yet to review and accept the game for release.”

This note further went on to explain that all the games released on Valve are first reviewed. Only when they get accepted, they are released to the platform.

This is a very strict policy, and developers can only have the option to punch the release button when their game is accepted by Valve. So, without the confirmation of Valve, not a single game can be released on Steam.

As per the reports the Portal Revolution was first submitted to the build on December 20 for review. But till now they haven’t heard back from Valve, and that’s because of the lack of staff during the holiday season.

According to the Portal Revolution developers, they said that they have learned their lesson and now keep this in mind. Talking about the new game mod, it was developed by a fan of Portal and will add 40 new test chambers and 8 hours of gameplay.
