The Poco X6 and X6 Pro smartphones have been consistently appearing in various certifications, indicating an imminent global release. The official announcement seems to be just around the corner. Himanshu Tandon, the Head of Poco India, dropped a Christmas tweet with a not-so-subtle hint: “Happy Xmas Everyone! Santa is coming with a gift soon.” This teaser strongly suggests that the Poco X6 series is on the verge of being launched in India.
The Upcoming Poco X6 Series
Similar to its forerunner, the X6 series is anticipated to consist of two models: the standard X6 and the higher-end X6 Pro. Leaks propose that the Poco X6 might be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro. If this holds true, fans can anticipate a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED screen with a 1.5k resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device could be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The rumored camera setup includes a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an additional 2MP unit.
On the other hand, the Poco X6 Pro might be a rebadged Redmi K70E, featuring a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with an 1800 nits peak brightness and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Internally, it is expected to house the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of cameras, the Poco X6 Pro is rumored to boast a triple-lens setup on the back, including a 64-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies and video calls, there will be a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
Although official details about the launch of the Poco X6 series are not yet revealed, a previous report suggests a potential global launch in late 2024. We will keep you updated on any new developments.
