The Poco X5 Pro will be formally unveiled for the Indian market on February 6. The rumours were accurate because this information originates directly from Poco India via its official Twitter account. Not only that, but the leaked image we shared with you last week is really the one being used to announce the unveiling date and time.
In addition to the new phone itself, Hardik Pandya, a well-known cricketer from India, is the headliner of the show. About two weeks ago, when he was seen using the as-yet-unreleased phone to take a call, information about his connection with the Poco X5 Pro launch was first revealed.
Poco India’s Twitter account and ongoing teaser campaign claim that the Poco X5 Pro would grant you “the license to become MAD,” as well as the ability to “kick the BAD” and “embrace the Bad-ass.” You can “destroy your competition” in games and “make them say your name” on the phone’s “magnificent” display (“them” as in “your competition”, we assume).
Poco X5 Pro features
As usual with Poco, those are assertive statements. The Snapdragon 778G chipset, along with 6/128GB or 8/256GB of RAM/storage, should power the X5 Pro, if previous leaks and rumours are to be believed.
The main camera is a 108 MP one, and it is reportedly accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro shooter. On the front, there is a 16 MP selfie camera. The screen is reportedly a 6.67″ AMOLED with 1080×2400 resolution.
The Poco X5 Pro apparently runs MIUI 14 on top of Android 12 and features a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging (but not wireless charging).
