Poco X5 Pro with Snapdragon 778G SoC is expected to have a starting price of ₹21k
While Xiaomi is facing a lot of criticisms with its Redmi Note 12 5G series, increased pricing, not-so-good camera quality and much more, its sub-brand Poco is all set to launch the Poco X5 series next month. To occupy the ever-growing Indian smartphone market which is upgrading to new 5G phones, bringing a lot of options increases the likeliness of a sale.
So, this new Poco X5 series will have the base Poco X5 and the brother Poco X5 Pro, also recently the base Poco X5 has been spotted in the hands of Hardik Pandya. The Poco X5 is essentially a rebranded Redmi Note 12 with the Snapdragon 695 SoC rather than the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 will be called the X5 while the Poco X5 Pro will be the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed with the Snapdragon 778G processor.
The Poco X5 Pro will also feature a big 5,000mAh battery with up to 67W fast charging, and an FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The camera module has a 108MP main sensor besides 8MP and 2MP sensors. There could be a 16MP selfie camera in the front, and it’s expected that much like other Poco phones, this Poco X5 Pro 5G will also be made available via Flipkart.
In terms of pricing, the leaked info suggests that this Poco X5 Pro 5G will have three variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The base pricing is suspected to be Rs.21k and could go all the way up to Rs.23k, lesser than the starting price of the Redmi Note 12 Pro series.
This makes absolute sense not to counter each other’s pricing and still offer a phone at every pricing, also you could see launch offers and back discounts during the launch slated to be held at the start of next month.
