POCO M7 5G India Launch Set for March 3, Price May Be Under ₹10,000

The POCO M7 5G recently appeared on Google’s Play Console, revealing key hardware details. To put this in a little perspective, it is the successor to the POCO M6 5G and the budget-friendly variant of the POCO M7 Pro that was launched in December 2024. POCO has now officially announced the official launching date as well as some specs that we had previously leaked.

The POCO M7 5G will be launched in India on March 3 at 12 noon via an event called #TheBIGShow, the brand has confirmed. Its retail poster officially reveals the rear design of the phone, which has a round camera module instead of the rectangular one on its predecessor. The back of the phone seems to have a matte finish in a greenish blue, with the camera island being a bit darker.

There are four camera cutouts, including one for an LED flash. Whether it is a dual or triple camera is not yet known. However, the poster does confirm that the POCO M7 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, which is consistent with an earlier leak of the smartphone’s Google Play Console listing.

The M7 5G will be the only device in the segment to offer 12GB RAM, out of which 6GB will be Turbo RAM — POCO has its own name for virtual RAM expansion. The poster also mentions its availability with an asterisk under the “Under ₹10K segment,” indicating a price tag below ₹10,000, which could also be with or without bank offers. The POCO M7 5G was also listed on Geekbench with another model number in December 2024.

The display will feature a punch-hole panel with narrow bezels and a somewhat thicker chin, the latter very often present in this price segment, per leaks. The display will likely feature a 720×1640 pixels resolution with a 320 dpi density. The device could also feature an Adreno 613 GPU. The particulars are still largely shrouded in mystery, but with the launch date drawing closer, more should be revealed soon. POCO M7 5G price in India is said to be between ₹10,000 and ₹12,000, but the under ₹10,000 makes it likely to launch at a lower price point.
