Poco has kicked off the global rollout of its F9 series, and all eyes are now on when the flagship-grade F9 Pro will make its way to India. The phone already went on sale internationally from September 1, 2026, with Poco pairing a 200MP main camera and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series chipset in a package aimed squarely at performance-hungry buyers who don’t want to pay Ultra-tier prices.

While Poco is yet to confirm an official India launch date or price, early listings peg the expected price at around Rs 79,999, putting it in the same bracket as several other flagship-adjacent phones launching around the same time. In Europe, the device is priced from €899.90 for the 12GB/256GB variant, with early-bird pricing as low as €739.90 during the initial sales window.

The standout feature of the F9 Pro is undoubtedly its camera setup, headlined by a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2.5x optical zoom — a combination that puts it firmly in competition with rivals from OnePlus and iQOO in the same price segment. Audio is handled by Bose-tuned stereo speakers, a first for the Poco F-series.

Battery life looks equally strong on paper, with a 6,330mAh cell backed by 100W wired fast charging, meaning users should be able to get a near-full charge in well under an hour. The phone ships with Android 16 and Poco’s HyperOS layered on top, alongside 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity.

Given the pace of Poco’s past India launches, which have typically followed the global debut by four to six weeks, an official announcement could land as early as mid-October, with buyers advised to wait for confirmed local pricing before making any purchase decisions based on international rates.

Poco has built a loyal following in India around the F-series precisely by undercutting mainstream flagships on price while keeping top-tier specifications intact, and the F9 Pro looks set to continue that trend. If the brand can hold India pricing close to the Rs 80,000 mark rather than pushing higher, it would represent strong value against similarly specced phones from Samsung and Xiaomi’s own flagship lineup.
