BREAKING: Statement from a Google spokesperson:

“Pixel 5a 5G is not cancelled. It will be available later this year in the U.S. and Japan and announced in line with when last year’s a-series phone was introduced.”

— Android Authority (@AndroidAuth) April 9, 2021

Android Authority has shared this news in their Twitter account. The spokesperson of Google claims that the alleged Pixel 5A has not been canceled. He added in his statement that it would be available in the U.S and Japan by the end of this year. The time of its official announcement will be the same as the previous year when the A-series phone was announced.

A Google spokesperson interacting with 9to5Google refuted the rumors. Another mysterious phone from the US tech giants’ house has been found on India’s BIS certification bureau. BIS stands for Bureau of Indian Standards.

This certification suggests an imminent launch of one of Google’s devices, and it could be none other than the Pixel 5a. This upcoming smartphone is codename GROM2. Though, there is still no confirmation that GROM2 is Google Pixel 5a or not but the market believes that it is the device that is the most likely to make its way into the Indian market.
