Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in Barcelona to complete his loan move to the La Liga club. The player will be signing his contract with Barcelona in the upcoming hours, and will be a replacement for Ousmane Dembele regardless of whether or not he leaves the club.

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Barcelona for the loan move, alongside Aubameyang. And now, the deal is set to be completed on deadline day.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Barcelona

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is dependent on Barcelona’s outgoings in the upcoming days. However, they seem to have made sure to have enough room on their wage books to afford Aubameyang.

With Ousmane Dembele set to be left out of the squad, Barcelona were searching for a replacement forward. While they have signed Ferran Torres and Adama Traore, they are also going in for Aubameyang to rebuild the squad.

Alvaro Morata was one of the names linked with the Spanish giants. However, he has decided to remain at Juventus despite interest from the Blaugrana. As a result, Barcelona decided to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after a rather disappointing first half of the season for the Gabon international.

In 14 games for Arsenal this season, Aubameyang has scored four goals and assisted one, which is a meagre return considering his role and quality in the team. Since the player is already in Catalonia, it is only a matter of time before the transfer is made official by all parties.
