The nominees for the award this year are as follows:

  • Cole Palmer – Chelsea
  • Joao Pedro – Brighton
  • Michael Olise – Crystal Palace
  • Bukayo Saka – Arsenal
  • Alejandro Garnacho – Manchester United
  • Kobbie Mainoo – Manchester United

Cole Palmer might be the favourite to win the award given the impact he has had since his transfer to Chelsea from Manchester City. The 22-year-old scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in his first full season with the West Londoners, helping them qualify for the Europa Conference League.

Pedro, on the other hand, scored nine goals and provided three assists in his first season with Brighton. Olise scored 10 goals and provided six assists for Crystal Palace last season before earning a big-money move to Bayern Munich this summer.

However, it is a close call nonetheless, and we will find out the winner of the award in just a week.
