Mumbai City has finished in 1st place in the ISL 2020-21 group, and have qualified for the AFC Champions League and won the ISL winners shield ahead of ATK on goal difference, which only adds to their merit and confidence.

Mumbai City FC is one of the eight clubs worldwide whose majority stakes are owned by City Football Group (CFG). English Premier League club, Manchester City is the flagship club owned by CFG.

In 2019, Mumbai City sold 65 percent of its stake to CFG whose majority stakeholders are Abu Dhabi United Group.

So Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has congratulated their sister club, Mumbai City for their success. He said: “Incredible success. It is part of the CFG family. Now comes the play-off. Hopefully they can do well. Congratulations to all the people. Every league is tricky and when you win it is well deserved.”

Manchester City will hope to win their first ISL title this season and honestly, they have a very good chance of winning.
