Intel’s 11th Gen SKUs have been great on the mobile front, but their Rocket Lake-S desktop processors have been a flop in the market. These CPUs got discounted as soon as they were launched, meaning Intel really seemed desperate to sell them anyhow.
However, these days, people who are really smarter have turned their back on Intel’s latest processors for desktops just because of the performance and heating issues. Intel has stretched its 14nm process to its limit, so the upper stacks of the Rocket Lake lineup aren’t convincing enough to be invested.
Though the lower-end Core i3s and i5s are still good enough to invest in, people are preferring the more efficient AMD Ryzen processors. As per the latest Top 10 desktop processors on Amazon US, we see no Intel 11th Gen SKUs, whereas customers prefer the older discounted 10th Gen processors.
People are exploring older options like Ryzen 5 1600, Ryzen 5 2600 or the Core i7-9700K, which could be great for any entry-level or budget system. However, AMD’s dominance in the desktop CPU market continues as we see 7 out of 10 processors are by the Red team.
