Pedro Rodriguez writes a farewell letter to Chelsea fans as he now joins AS Roma

Former Barcelona player Pedro Rodriguez joined Chelsea in 2015. In his 5 years at the club, the Spanish international has won the Premier League title in 2017 under Antonio Conte and also won the FA Cup in 2018, as well as the Europa League a year later under Maurizio Sarri.

Pedro’s last match at the Stamford Bridge was on 26th July in their last Premier League match of the 2019-20 campaign. He has already agreed on a deal with AS Roma. He will be joining the Italian club on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old has made 137 appearances for the Blues netting 29 goals in all competitions. But this season he has made just 8 Premier League starts and 21 appearances in all competitions.

Pedro has now taken to Instagram and Twitter to write a farewell message to the Chelsea fans on Sunday morning.

Pedro wrote in his farewell letter: “After five wonderful years my stage at Chelsea FC comes to an end.”

“Thanks a lot to the club’s board, to the coaches and teammates I’ve had, and of course to the fans: thank you for the experience of being a member of your big family. I’ve been very happy here, you’ve made me feel like home.”

“It’s been a pleasure and an honour to play for this club and win the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League titles, as well as competing in one of the world’s best football leagues. I made the right choice, I take with me wonderful and unforgettable memories.”

“I say farewell very pleased with this stage of my career, and I’m also very excited with the next to begin. Thanks and good luck for the future.”

“Come on Blues!!!”

Pedro will now begin the next phase of his career with Roma from next season.
