Paulo Fonseca is reportedly filling in the vacant head coach position in Tottenham Spurs to replace Portuguese legend Jose Mourinho while at the same time Jose Mourinho has replaced Paulo Fonseca at AS Roma.
Reports suggest that Paulo Fonseca was initially recommended by the new director of football Fabio Paratici who recently came over Juventus having nearly 11 years of experience in his arsenal where he has won 19 titles.
Spurs are currently making no progress in replacing Jose Mourinho. After previously contract talks fell over with Antonio Conte before that they were looking to sign Mauricio Pochettino to make a comeback to Spurs.
While Ajax manager Eric Han Tag is still a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho, Some reports suggest that Paulo Fonseca is willing to sign a 3 year deal with Tottenham and so far the discussions have proved to be productive.
Paulo Fonseca has previously managed Portuguese club SC Braga, Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk and Italian heavyweights AS Roma whom he led to UEFA Europa League semi-final against Manchester United where lost 8-5 on aggregate.
If Paulo Fonseca successfully signs for Tottenham Spurs there’s a possibility of him facing Jose Mourinho in the UEFA Conference league.
