Paulo Dybala breaks Cristiano Ronaldo’s Serie A record of the most shirt sales on the first day
According to a report by Marca, the numbers of shirt sales on the first day after signing that Cristiano Ronaldo achieved when he signed for Juventus in 2018 are lower than what Dybala achieved after completing his free transfer to Roma last week.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma’s various club shops were absolutely packed with fans trying to get the new shirt with the Argentine forward’s name on the back
One worker said: “Since this morning we haven’t stopped for a moment, we’ve done nothing but print Dybala shirts.”
The situation was the same on the club website as well. The fans wanted to get their hands on Dybala’s shirt.
Paulo Dybala has taken the No 21 shirt at Roma despite his favoured No 10 shirt also being on offer. The last player to wear the No 10 shirt for Roma was Francesco Totti and no one has ever worn it after his retirement.
