Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Paul Winstanley as their new Director of Global Talent and Transfers. After spending eight years with Brighton and helping them earn a reputation for finding and developing top talents from across the world, Winstanley will start work in West London immediately, as confirmed by the club.
Winstanley was head of recruiting for Brighton, and a lot of their success in terms of incomings and outgoings can be attributed to him. Hopefully, he will be able to develop Chelsea’s transfer strategy to be more concrete since they haven’t had many successful deals recently.
