Pat Cummins: Why he’s the Highest Played Oversea Player in the IPL

Pat Cummins has been handed the captaincy of the Australian National team ahead of the Ashes against England. Former captain Tim Paine has stepped down following the sexting scandal that he was involved in.

The former captain was sexting a female coworker since 2017, despite being married to Bonnie Mags. The woman has now reported the issue and an investigation has been launched into the issue. Paine’s wife has also chosen to stay with him, being aware of the situation.

Steven Smith has been named vice captain for the team. He was caught up with ball tampering that led to him being dismissed as the captain of the national team.

‘With Steve and I as captains, a number of very senior players in this squad and some great young talent coming through, we are a strong and tightly-knit group.’

Pat Cummins has ascertained to the fans that there will be close scrutiny imposed on the way things are run now. He called himself his harshest judge in terms of morals, and would try not to be involved in the darker side of things. The first Ashes test will begin on December 8, and will go on for four more matches.
