Groß came up through the Hoffenheim academy before playing for Karlsruher and Ingolstadt. After spending five years with the latter, he joined Brighton in 2017 for a fee worth €3 million.

The midfielder has proved to be a worthwhile investment, establishing himself as one of the most effective players for the club. He has played 261 games for the Seagulls, scoring 32 goals and providing 52 assists across all competitions.

His performances also earned him a call-up to the German national team in 2023, and he has earned eight caps so far. Now, it remains to be seen how he performs on his return to Germany with Dortmund.

Has Groß won any trophy at the senior level?
