Paris Saint-Germain outline players that need to leave before end of 2022 summer window

Paris Saint-Germain are working to trim the size of their squad after making several exciting acquisitions this summer. The club wants to sell Ander Herrera, Layvin Kurzawa, Julian Draxler, Rafinha, Thilo Kehrer, Idrissa Gueye and Mauro Icardi by the end of the transfer window.

They have been threatened that they will have to play in the fifth tier of France with the PSG second team if they don’t leave. Luis Campos is heading the charge for reducing the size of the squad as they enter into a new era.

Christophe Galtier announced that Mauro Icardi would leave the club in a press conference:

“The club is working closely with Mauro to find the best possible solution.

“He’s had very little game time and I think it would be best for him to get back up and running.”

With the arrival of Renato Sanches and Vitinha, it seems very unlikely that Julian Draxler, Rafinha and Ander Herrera will be given game time. With Fabian Ruiz also expected to join the club, these fringe players will have to be moved on soon.

Idrissa Gana-Gueye will be joining Everton, as an agreement is almost in place for the player to return to Goodison Park. If the rest of them stay on with Paris Saint-Germain, then they might spend the season completely frozen out of the squad.
