Paris Saint-Germain have no intentions of going for Jose Mourinho as their new head coach any longer. They are prepared to replace Mauricio Pochettino this summer, after the appointment of Luis Campos as their new sporting director following the dismissal of Leonardo.
Following another unsuccessful Champions League campaign, the French giants are prepared to make big changes to their team this season. And the replacement of Pochettino is one of the first steps that will be taken by Campos.
Paris Saint-Germain looking at Christophe Galtier as new manager
Christophe Galtier is one of the most heavily rumoured names to become the new manager of the French giants in recent weeks. He helped Lille overcome the Parisians in Ligue 1 during Pochettino’s first season in charge.
Since their league title win, he has moved on to Nice and has been quite successful with them as well. But after only one year with them, he could be headed for the top job in the country.
There are several other options that Paris Saint-Germain can choose from as well. In this case, Galtier’s lack of experience in European competitions could be a detriment for the club. As a result, a manager that can manage some of the biggest talents in the world, and one who can guide the team to having an elite mentality in difficult moments could be the best option for them going forward.
