Olympiacos have reached an agreement to sign Pajtim Kasami on a free transfer. The player has arrived in the city to complete his medicals and the formalities for the transfer. The official announcement is pending from the Greek champions, confirming the transfer of the midfielder.

The Swiss international has been without a club since leaving FC Basel at the end of the previous season. The free agent window is still open, and he became a deadline day arrival for Olympiacos, who have had a very impressive transfer window this summer.

The midfielder has featured for several clubs across Europe. He has also played in the Premier League, for clubs like Fulham and Nottingham Forest. He has also featured for Lazio, Palermo and Sion.

The midfielder played for Olympiacos back in 2014, when he was signed from Fulham. And eight years later, Pajtim Kasami will return to Greece with the champions of the league.

Olympiacos have signed Marcelo and Cedric Bakambu as free agents as well, bolstering their squad ahead of the coming season. The Real Madrid legend signed after his contract with the Spanish side expired, while Bakambu joins after terminating his deal with Marseille.

James Rodriguez has joined the club on loan from Al Rayyan, returning to European football at least for the ongoing season.
