Devdutt Padikkal has shattered the 20-Test drought for India’s No. 3 slot with a scintillating unbeaten 131 at Galle. His masterclass anchored India to a commanding 288/2 before rain halted play. Alongside a gritty 77 from KL Rahul, Padikkal’s tactical precision dismantled Sri Lanka’s bowling attack. The future of India’s batting looks unstoppable as they seize total control of this opening Test.
