When OxygenOS came back the change was very noticeable from a completely distinct software experience to an OS that mostly feels like the OPPO’s ColorOS. Several improvements came with the release of OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 and this included design updates with Aquamorphic Design. Looking to the future, this is what we can expect from OxygenOS 15.
OxygenOS 15 Potential Release Date
In November, OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 was released after Google had delayed the release till October. Similarly, in November 2022 the OxygenOS 13 will be released. As OnePlus usually rolls out its stable updates a month after the official availability of Android, and with Google said to debut Android 15 on August 13 at the Made By Google event in Los Angeles; OxygenOS 15 is expected by October later this year.
OxygenOS 15 Supported Devices
If all goes as planned, the OnePlus 12, 12R, Open, and Nord 4 are expected to be the first devices to receive the OxygenOS 15 update, with older models following in late 2024 or early 2025. Here’s a list of OnePlus devices likely to be eligible for the update:

OxygenOS 15 Expected Features
Lock Screen Customizations
Continuing with customization, OxygenOS 15 is also expected to bring new lock screen features like the ability for customizable wallpapers (with depth effect), clock styles, and color schemes. Nothing OS users may even be able to apply different effects on their lock screens.
Quick Settings Enhancements
If Google added more options, similar to possibly showing consumers a different layout that would show even more tiles on the Quick Settings panel without changing it from what we currently have.
Revamped Device Info Page
The “About device” page is also expected to be more refined and with better UX.
Dynamic Pill Enhancements
However, what it really looks like is that the Dynamic Pill, which was introduced in OxygenOS 14 could also be extended to support other app integrations such as Uber food delivery services or even extra music streaming platforms.
App Archiving
App Archiving may be included in OxygenOS 15, a feature of Android 15: Remove apps that you don’t use much but without losing the data.
Android 15 Specific Features
OxygenOS updates should usually bring a whole new array of features such as Notification cooldown, Split Screen app pairs, and some Google-Health Connect goodness to gamify the experience. We should hopefully learn more as we get closer to the release of the update, but in the meantime, this is where things stand.
