Ousmane Dembélé gets green light to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League

Ousmane Dembele could be set for a renewal with Barcelona in the coming days. The player has arrived in the city following a short holiday to potentially re-sign with the club. He has accepted the terms offered by the Spanish side for a reduced salary and now it is up to the board to decide his future.

Despite not leaving Barcelona, the winger will have to be registered as a new player under La Liga. As a result, it might be quite cumbersome for them to steer around the financial constraints and sign the Frenchman again.

Xavi was keen on keeping the World Cup winner at Camp Nou beyond the summer. And by the looks of things, he will be getting what he wants. Ousmane Dembele has agreed a two-year renewal with the club, and could be made official very soon.

There is also the aspect of Raphinha joining the Blaugrana. The Brazilian has been pushing for a move to Camp Nou this summer. Leeds United have accepted an offer from Chelsea, but the player strongly wanted to move to Barca. As per the latest developments, he will be getting what he wants.

Despite the fact that they haven’t been able to pay their wage bills, they are still trying to register new players. And if both wingers are on board, they will have four new players signed in the coming days.
