Something beautiful is happening with *Our Universe* as it heads into its final week. The tvN romance drama just recorded its best-ever Thursday viewership — a sign that audiences are fully invested in Tae-hyung, Hyun-jin, and, let’s be honest, baby Woo-ju right as the story reaches its emotional peak.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 10 (March 5) scored an average nationwide rating of **1.6%** — the highest Thursday figure the show has recorded across its entire run. This is especially notable because Thursdays have consistently underperformed Wednesdays for this drama throughout its broadcast window.

## Why This Ratings Milestone Actually Means Something

In the world of [Korean television ratings](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_Korea), Wednesday-Thursday dramas live and die by their weekly consistency. *Our Universe* debuted strong at 1.9% on February 4 — the highest premiere for a tvN Wednesday-Thursday show in years, and a moment that also marked the **revival of tvN’s Wed-Thu time slot after a three-year hiatus** since May 2023.

After a mid-run dip to 1.3% in Episode 5, the show bounced back emphatically in its second half. Episode 7 nearly matched the premiere at 1.873%, Episode 9 climbed to 1.8%, and now Episode 10 has broken the Thursday ceiling entirely. The upward curve heading into the finale is exactly what a drama needs to land its ending with maximum emotional payoff.

It’s also worth noting that *Our Universe* has been running as the **only drama airing on Wednesday-Thursday** for most of its broadcast run — a rare position that strips away competitive noise and lets pure audience interest tell the story.

## What Has Kept Viewers Hooked

The premise is deceptively simple: two in-laws, no prior bond, suddenly raising an orphaned 20-month-old infant named Woo-ju (which means “Universe” in Korean). But the execution has been anything but basic. Bae In-hyuk’s portrayal of the quietly brooding Seon Tae-hyung and Roh Jeong-eui’s emotionally layered Woo Hyun-jin have developed a slow-burn chemistry that rewards patient viewers. And baby actor Park Yu-ho as Woo-ju has, almost singlehandedly, become the internet’s favourite co-parenting mascot.

The drama’s second half sharpened its stakes considerably — Tae-hyung’s confession, the love triangle with Yoon-seong (Park Seo-ham), and a devastating family secret that recontextualized everything made Episodes 7–10 compulsively watchable.
