Barcelona’s Oscar Mingueza has completed a transfer to Celta Vigo, ending his spell with the Blaugranas. The defender has agreed to a contract until 2026, and will be aiming to revive his career with the new club.

He has been criticised a lot for his performances on the pitch by Culers, and has finally been offloaded. The transfer fee rumoured is [under €5 million](https://as.com/futbol/primera/mingueza-es-el-elegido-para-cerrar-la-defensa-n/), and Celta Vigo have included a sell-on clause in the contract as well, which means that Barcelona will be entitled to a percentage of any future sale.

The agreement has been announced by [Barcelona](https://technosports.co.in/2022/07/30/bernardo-silva-linked-strongly-barca/), and the move will be made official when the medical is completed and the contracts are signed for the transfer.

Despite being subject of a lot of negativity, Oscar Mingueza has the ability to play across the backline. He can play as a centre-back, and can also feature as a right-back. Under Eduardo Coudet, he is expected to feature as a right-back following a busy summer transfer window for the club.

Miguenza’s long passing and crossing ability was noticeable whenever he played right-back for Barcelona. As a result, his versatility will come into play for the coach in a number of different tactical approaches. At 23, the Spaniard is still young and can develop himself into a better player, and regular opportunities in the first team can help him get there.
