Lighting up Lumo, new hardware and software innovations to challenge its portrait photography. OPPO has called it the most advanced mobile imaging system in the industry for portrait photography, leveraging precision-engineered optics and the latest computational imaging technology. The Find X8 series will feature OPPO’s Lumo Light Condensation Imaging System, which consists of a highly sensitive computational optical setup with focal lengths of 15mm, 23mm, 70mm, and 135mm. It also features a super-sensory digital imaging engine and ProXDR technology.

OPPO has also applied advanced packaging technology to the Find X8 Ultra with a layer of supercrystalline blue glass applied over the light sensor. It also enhances the infrared cut-off rate by 81% over standard solutions. Furthermore, the camera system appears to utilize a two-group floating design for the periscope arrangement, increasing focus speed by 30% and specifying a minimum focusing distance of 10cm.

The most notable feature of the Find X8 Ultra is the introduction of the industry’s first-ever “Danxia” True Tone lens that uses OPPO’s own zonal color temperature perception. However, instead of using each individual sensor to do separate color correction, the process accurately compensates colors between any two points in the image. Moreover, True Color ProXDR Live enables instant previews of various HDR effects while capturing the image.
