Foldable smartphones are the future. The smartphone market is driven by innovations. And it is the Chinese OEMs which are at the heart of these innovations most often than not. Oppo, one of the famous Chinese manufacturing companies, has unveiled a new concept phone. Oppo is referring to as the “slide-phone”. The most unique quality of this new concept phone? It comes as a triple-fold design. This “slide-phone” has been developed in collaboration with Japanese design studio Nendo.
Along with a triple-fold design, a stylus is offered to the users which can be tucked away into the smartphone’s body. Due to its foldable design, it can easily fit into the palm of the hand. The three stages of folds leave you with a 1.5-inch screen, 3.15-inch screen or a 7-inch screen.
Sliding up the first fold, which is the 1.5-inch display, is suitable for reviewing notifications, responding phone calls or accessing a music player. The next slide up offers you a 3.15-inch display. This might be just enough for you to capture photos and use the handset for some casual gaming. The last slide up leaves you with the fully unfolded phone which is a 7-inch screen. It consists of narrow bezels. The concept phone displays it as a fairly long phone and can be helpful for multitasking, especially when used in landscape orientation. This can be seen from the image below.

Reports suggest that this handset might take time but Oppo will very soon enter into the market with their first rollable smartphone which is called as Oppo X 2021
