Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G with 48MP quad-camera & Snapdragon 765G now available

Chinese smartphone giant Oppo introduced their Reno series in 2019 and it was a huge hit with its great specs and premium offering. The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom did have some amazing cameras and with this Reno series, Oppo made an impact globally.

Oppo quickly expanded their Reno portfolio with the launch of Reno 2 devices and the Reno Ace flagship ones as well. As we know, Oppo is focussed on bringing 5G smartphones in 2020, their new Reno 3 series will implement both 5G and quad-camera setup with the latest hardware.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G with 48MP quad-camera & Snapdragon 765G now available

The Reno 3 Pro is now available in China and it features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC along with 48MP quad-camera setup.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G with 48MP quad-camera & Snapdragon 765G now available

The Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G sports a hyperboloid design on both the front and rear panel along with a sleek and slim build that makes it much more attractive, giving a comfortable in-hand feel. The smartphone is just 7.7mm in thickness and weighs only 171 grams. 

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and punch-hole selfie camera. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, and 92.1% screen-to-body ratio. It supports 180Hz touch response, HDR 10+, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 1100 nits peak brightness! The display seems to be a stunning one.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G with 48MP quad-camera & Snapdragon 765G now available

The recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G will be powering this device and the Reno 3 Pro 5G is the world’s second smartphone to be powered by the chipset. The Snapdragon 765G comprises of two Cortex-A76 performance cores and one of it is clocked up to 2.4 GHz, and the other performance core reaches up to 2.2 GHz. The six other Cortex-A55 based efficiency cores have been clocked up to 1.8 GHz.

The Snapdragon 765G chipset has been coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G runs on the company’s ColorOS 7 skin, based on Android 10. The X52 in-built modem will enable all the key 5G connectivity features in this smartphone.

Talking about the cameras, on the rear end we have a 48MP quad-camera setup featuring a primary 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 115-degree field of view (FOV), a 13MP telephoto lens with 5x hybrid zoom, and a 2MP macro lens.

In the punch-hole, we have a 32MP selfie camera and the Reno 3 series will feature the Ultra Steady 2.0 mode to capture some amazing stable videos.

The Reno 3 Pro 5G packs a 4,025mAh battery along with VOOC 4.0 fast-charging technology that can be enabled using a 30W USB Type-C fast charger which comes with the smartphone itself.

Price & Availability

This new Oppo device will be available in four attractive colour variants – Moon Night Black, Sunrise Impression, Misty White, and Blue Starry Night. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G will be available in 2 variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. 

Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G with 48MP quad-camera & Snapdragon 765G now available

The base variant will cost you 3,999 yuan (around Rs.40,700), on the other hand, you’ll have pay 4,499 yuan (around Rs.45,800) for the 12GB variant. There is a Classic Blue Pantone colour variant that is priced at 4199 yuan.

The base variant is now available in China whereas the higher-end variant will be available from January 10th onwards.
