Four models are expected to arrive in India: **Reno 16C, Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro Mini, and Reno 16 Pro** — and this generation introduces a dedicated hardware shortcut key called the **Snap Key**, OPPO’s answer to OnePlus’s Plus Key. --- ## Full Specs: Reno 16 vs Reno 16 Pro | Feature | Reno 16 | Reno 16 Pro | | --- | --- | --- | | Display | 6.32″ 1.5K 120Hz Flat OLED | 6.78″ 1.5K 120Hz Flat OLED | | Chipset | Dimensity 8550 | Dimensity 9500s | | RAM / Storage | Up to 12GB LPDDR5X / 512GB | Up to 16GB LPDDR5X / 1TB UFS 4.1 | | Main Camera | 200MP HP5 OIS | 200MP HP5 OIS | | Ultrawide | 50MP | 50MP | | Telephoto | 50MP OIS Periscope | 50MP OIS Periscope | | Front Camera | 50MP | 50MP | | Battery | 6,700mAh | 7,000mAh | | Wired Charging | 80W | 80W | | Wireless Charging | No | 50W | | Build | Metal frame, IP69 | Metal frame, IP69 | | Hardware Key | Snap Key | Snap Key | | OS | Android 16 + ColorOS 16 | Android 16 + ColorOS 16 | --- ## The Three Highlights That Matter Most > ✅ Officially confirmed : OPPO Reno 16 Series is launching in China on : 25th May‼️ > > Oppo Reno 16 : > ✅ 6.32" 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED > ✅ Dimensity 8550 > ✅ 6700mAh🔋80W⚡ > > Oppo Reno 16 Pro : > ✅ 6.78" 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED > ✅ Dimensity 9500s > ✅ 7000mAh🔋80W⚡50W wireless⚡ > > Both : > ✅… [pic.twitter.com/KHQXhM2Xti](https://t.co/KHQXhM2Xti) > > — Debayan Roy (Gadgetsdata) (@Gadgetsdata) [May 18, 2026](https://twitter.com/Gadgetsdata/status/2056295844681560289?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) ### Dimensity 9500s in a Sub-₹70K Phone The Reno 16 Pro’s chipset choice is the biggest talking point. The Dimensity 9500s is a notable step up from the Reno 15 Pro’s Dimensity 8450, delivering better sustained performance for gaming and more efficient background processing. It is the same chipset powering the [OPPO Find X9s](https://www.technosports.co.in/) — which launches at ₹79,999. Getting that silicon in a Reno at an expected price of ₹65,000–₹70,000 is significant value. ### 7,000mAh Battery With Wireless Charging The Reno 16 Pro’s battery is a substantial increase over the Reno 15 Pro’s roughly 6,200–6,500mAh pack. That should translate to longer screen-on time while keeping the same fast-charging speeds Reno 15 users are already familiar with. Adding 50W wireless charging to the Pro — absent in the standard model — gives it a meaningful differentiation from its more affordable sibling. ### Snap Key — OPPO’s Answer to OnePlus’s Plus Key The Snap Key is a new multifunctional hardware button designed to trigger AI tools, camera functions, and shortcuts with a single press. This mirrors the Plus Key that OnePlus introduced with the OnePlus 13R — a feature Indian users have responded strongly to. OPPO bringing the same shortcut logic to Reno under its own branding signals that the BBK ecosystem is standardising this feature across price tiers. The Snap Key is said to work similarly to the Plus Key seen on recent OnePlus phones, with the specific function mapping customisable through ColorOS 16. --- ## India Timeline and What to Expect The OPPO Reno 16 Pro with model number CPH2863 has already appeared on multiple international certification databases including BIS India, and a second model number CPH2865 received BIS clearance on May 12, 2026 — a clear sign that OPPO India is prepping a multi-model launch. The India lineup is expected to include the Reno 16C, Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro Mini, and Reno 16 Pro — arriving between July and August 2026. India’s variant of the Reno 16 Pro is expected above ₹65,000, placing it in direct competition with the [Samsung Galaxy S25](https://www.technosports.co.in/) base model and [OnePlus 15](https://www.technosports.co.in/) at revised pricing. --- ## How It Compares to the Competition at Launch | | OPPO Reno 16 Pro | OPPO Find X9s | OnePlus 15 | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Chipset | Dimensity 9500s | Dimensity 9500s | Snapdragon 8 Elite | | Battery | 7,000mAh | 7,025mAh | 6,000mAh | | Rear Cameras | 50+50+50MP | 50+50+50MP | 50+50+8MP | | Wireless Charging | 50W | — | — | | Expected India Price | ~₹65,000–70,000 | ₹79,999 | ₹85,999 | | IP Rating | IP69 | IP68+IP69 | IP65 | The Reno 16 Pro undercuts the Find X9s by approximately ₹10,000–15,000 with a nearly identical camera and chipset configuration — the key tradeoffs being no wireless charging on the Find X9s and a slightly different build tier. For buyers who want the Dimensity 9500s experience without stretching to Find X9s territory, the Reno 16 Pro is shaping up as the smarter pick. --- ## The Bottom Line The OPPO Reno 16 Series is the most well-rounded mid-premium launch OPPO has planned for India in years. A flagship chipset in the Pro, uniform 200MP triple cameras, a 7,000mAh battery with wireless charging, IP69 rating, the new Snap Key, and Android 16 out of the box — all likely under ₹70,000. Mark June–July 2026 on your calendar. --- Stay tuned to [TechnoSports](https://www.technosports.co.in/) for the OPPO Reno 16 India launch date, pricing, and full review.
