OPPO is planning on launching another 5G smartphone in their already expanding 5G portfolio. The company started off with the OPPO Reno 5 Pro 5G earlier this year. Now, we are seeing the OPPO K9 Pro 5G as the smartphone has now surfaced online. Oppo K9 Pro has been spotted in a China Telecom listing, hinting at an imminent launch in the country. The listing leaked renders of the phone from all angles and lists key specifications as well. The China Telecom listing also leaked the probable price of the phone. Oppo K9 Pro 5G Specs (Rumoured)
The OPPO K9 Pro 5G posses the model number as the PEYM00. Speaking about the specifications of the handset, it will feature a 6.43-inch display that will have a Full HD+ 2400×1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device will be powered by an octa-core Dimensity 1200 SoC. The phone will pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The top-end K9 Pro 5G model will ship with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will boot Android 11 out of the box.
For photos and videos, the smartphone may arrive with a triple rear camera setup. The setup will include a 64-megapixel primary sensor alongside an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. In addition, we will also be seeing a 2-megapixel sensor in the setup. On the front, the device will sport a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
As per the China Telecom listing, the OPPO K9 Pro will measure 158.7×73.5×8.5mm in terms of dimensions and it will weigh 180 grams. The OPPO K9 Pro 5G may pack a 4,500mAh battery. The smartphone will come with dual-SIM slots with 5G connectivity as well. There will also be a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer purposes. It is listed to support fingerprint recognition.
Oppo K9 Pro 5G Pricing (Rumoured)
According to the China Telecom listing, the OPPO K9 Pro 5G price in China will start at CNY 2,399 for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant. Now, this converts to roughly Rs. 27,300. Furthermore, the 8GB/256GB variant will come with a price tag of CNY 2,599 which converts to roughly Rs. 29,600. Lastly, the 12GB/256GB variant will cost CNY 2,899 which is around Rs.33,000.
In addition, the listing also reveals that the device will come in the Glacier Overture, Obsidian Warrior, and Neon Silver Sea colour options. When it comes to the availability of the device, it will officially launch on September 24, 2021, as per the listing. However, the India launch details of the smartphone are currently under wraps.
