Recently, we have seen that foldable smartphones have gained a lot of popularity among smartphone lovers. There are many options for foldable smartphones which can fold horizontally, but, if anyone wants vertically foldable smartphones, then there are two options- the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, and Motorola Razr. Now, according to a recent report, Oppo is reportedly working on a vertically foldable smartphone, and we have got the estimated design of this upcoming foldable device.
The patent was filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO) and it was approved and published on 3rd September. The document reveals, that the upcoming Oppo foldable smartphone will have a rotating hinge with gears that allows the phone to be fixed at up to four different angles.
Recently, we have got some renders of this upcoming device through LetsGoDigital based on the patent images, which shows that the upcoming Oppo’s foldable smartphone doesn’t have a cover display. This means, when you fold the phone you can’t see the notifications that you just received until you unfold it. But in other foldable smartphones, you can see the notifications even if the phone is in folded condition.
According to the renders, the main display of this upcoming smartphone is more conventional, as it has a centered punch hole to hold the selfie camera. The patent diagram doesn’t reveal about the rear cameras, but the renders images reveal that this upcoming foldable device will have a triple rear camera setup. But there is a chance that this phone having a single rear camera is pretty slim.
Apart from this information, the rest remains a mystery. There is no official information about this phone till now. But we are expecting that the company may launch this phone in 2021, and we will give all the information regarding this topic.
