The Chinese manufacturer has confirmed that the Oppo Find X8 series, which includes the base model Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro its satellite communication variant on October 24. The new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset will be featured in the first range of smartphones. On top of that, there are the hearsays around the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and the Find N5 foldable, too—with their arrival schedules now also leaked.

According to tipster Teme, both the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and the Find N5 are set to launch in the first quarter of 2025. This corresponds with a previous leak that was released on Weibo. The Find N5 could be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 in India and re-released by OnePlus.
However, the tipster also disclosed that OPPO is testing the Find N5 with a quad-camera setup similar to what is available on the Find X8 Ultra but this particular sample may eventually feature a triple-camera solution. There is no information available about the availability of the Find X8 Ultra and most probably, the Find N5 won’t come to China since the OPPO Find N3 was also released in Southeast Asia.
Reports suggest that the OPPO Find N5 could be the first foldable smartphone in the world to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It’s rumored to have a circular camera module and a compact design with a 9.x mm thickness. The foldable could also feature a 2K primary display, similar to its predecessor. The Find N5 is expected to feature a 50MP Sony primary camera, a periscope lens, and a third mystery camera. In contrast, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, unlike the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, which will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400.
